I have had great success with the Dry-All desiccant product from HPL!
1. My Nokia old-style cell phone fell out of my shirt pocket straight into the toilet bowl and sank to the lowest point. I cleared my hands then grabbed it out, quickly drying it off with toilet paper. First I removed the battery and patted it and the phone dry the best I could. Then I placed them both into a clear plastic sleeve with the Dry-All beads retained in one end by a foam pad. After a full day in the sleeve, the phone and battery were removed, reassembled, and the telephone worked normally with no hint of trouble. Although I trust the Dry-All system to protect me, I am more cautious about keeping my phone out of water.
2. My grandson dropped his Sansa Shaker MP3 player into irrigation water in our back yard recently. When he took it--dripping wet--to his mother, she first toweled it off. Then she used the procedure I showed her, inserting it into a plastic sleeve with the same Dry-All beads being used to dry it out over a two-day period. Since then the MP3 player works normally. We are retaining the Dry-All desiccant beads for the next episode.

I work out of country. When you lose your phone because of moisture, it could be life threatening. I protect myself using Dry-All®. A wet phone is a risk I am not willing to take.
